Will I get a QR code to share?

Yes. Once you are inside the room, use the Invite button to show a QR code or share the room link.

How many Spies should I add?

For a standard group of 3-6 players, 1 Spy is perfect. If you have a larger party (7+ players), adding a second Spy makes the game more challenging and balanced.

What is the "Game Duration" setting for?

This sets the timer for the interrogation phase. When time runs out, players must immediately vote on who they think the Spy is. Shorter times create more pressure!

Do I need to pick locations manually?

No need. The game automatically selects a random location from our database for each round. You just need to focus on finding the Spy.

Are bots added if we don't have enough players?

No, we don't use AI bots. Spyfall relies on human intuition and conversation, so it's best played with real friends. Adjust your player count to match your actual group size.

Why do I need a nickname?

Your nickname helps others address you during the accusation and voting phases. It makes the "who said what" part of the game much clearer.

Can I change settings after creating the room?

Once the room is created, settings like player count and spy count are locked for that specific game. However, you can easily start a new room with different settings if needed.
